Hello everyone!
The warmer weather is finally upon us. We all look forward to having the windows open and smelling the wonderful, fresh, spring air. It’s the time of year we look forward to quilt shows, shop hops, vacations and road trips. If you are planning any trips, we have the latest issues of “Quilter’s Travel Companion” and “WRBQ, Inc.” (We’d Rather Be Quilting). Both these books will help you locate quilt shops near your destination. Don’t forget to take along your favorite quilting book, magazine or hand project to keep you entertained. We’ve also gotten in a selection of the ‘quilt story” novels for those of you who like to read while on the road.
Closer to home, don’t forget to stop by the Clarence Log Cabin Quilt Guild’s show being held on May 15th – 17th. It is always a wonderful show highlighting our local quilters. The talent from this guild is outstanding. It’s one of our favorite shows. Come, be inspired, and then stop by our booth to say “hello”. Also, see page 4 for information about the WNY Shop Hop in June. Shop hops are great ways to see the uniqueness of your local stores.

If you enjoy creating quilts on the computer and coming up with interesting designs before cutting into your fabric, the new Kaliedoscope Kreator might be the tool for you. It’s so cool! (See the picture on page 3.) EQ6 (Electric Quilt) is another really fun quilt design computer program to play with.

Many other new gadgets such as the bow maker, pre-printed alphabets and flowers on freezer paper, “Inchie Ruler Tape” and others have arrived. New notions are so much fun!

We now have patterns to create crowns for your favorite Quilting Queen. (Maybe it’s you!) We just couldn’t resist adding these patterns to our collection. Make crowns for your quilting circle or retreat cohorts! You’ll be the envy of all. (After all, give a quilter an inch and she thinks she’s a ruler!) Many new books, patterns and fabrics are continuously arriving. If you haven’t been by the store in a while, stop by! There is a lot you haven’t seen.

On a more administrative note, we are going to summer hours the end of this month. We have listed the specific hours on page 4. You may want to cut it out and post it some where handy. Of course if you’re not sure we’re open, just call to make sure we’re here.
