In a contrasting color, the tiny piping acts like an outline for the basic shape.  The piping hot snakesmacaroni shape of the basic block leaves lots of options for unique designs.  Although the model is made into snakes for a child’s quilt, it would be easy to make a more adult version by playing with color and placement.

No— not a wrap to eat, but one to have fun making.  Create a bowl or, a purse or, a wrapped bowlbasket or a hot pad.  The first step is to learn how!  Fabric strips are wrapped around a cord then sewn together to create different shapes.  Use the wrapping and coiling technique to create any of the above mentioned projects.  All supplies including the book It’s a Wrap by Susan Breier are available at Sew What?.

Start Time: 10:00 AM

This is a method class to teach you how to do the quilting on your home machine.  You need a reliable machine with a walking foot and a darning foot that are made for it (the generic ones tend not to work very well).  We do a LOT of talking about the “hows” and then play with a practice piece that is included in the class price.  This is definitely a ‘must’ class.  You’ll definitely get some tips that will make your job easier, making the cost of the class worthwhile.
