This method class will teach you how to quilt on your home machine. You need a reliable machine with a walking foot and a darning foot that are made for it (the generic ones tend not to work very well). We do a LOT of talking about the “hows” and then play with a practice piece that is included in the class price. This is definitely a ‘must’ class. You’ll definitely get some tips and tricks making your job easier.

prismsHave fun working with scrap fabrics from your own collection. Pick fabrics and colors that make a scrappy look, or use a more controlled palette. Then choose a background fabric which will be used for the foundation on which the scraps are sewn. This is fun and fast. The 7″ blocks are created and then sewn together in straight lines for a stunning finish.

This quilt is paper pieced, and is no where near as hard as it looks.  The model is image009made at  50% of normal size but don’t let that scare you.  There are full size blocks available for those not bitten by the “miniature” bug and you can certainly make the whole project in the larger size.   The wonderful thing about paper piecing is the accuracy, so even even complicated looking patterns like this one are easily attainable by all
