When: Saturday February 19th
Time: Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Can this difficult looking quilt really be so easy? Yep! It sure can! There are flying geese, bias squares and borders AND the pieces are NOT real small either. As you work on the various parts for the quilt you will learn some quick methods to make both bias squares and flying geese. The quilt works well with yardage from a line of fabrics or with lots of scraps (clean out your scrap bin so there is room for new fabrics)

Many of you have been asking for a paper piecing class, and this dynamic quilt is a great one on which to learn paper piecing. The angles look complicated, but using a paper foundation is the key to success! Paper piecing produces a fantastic finished piece where all the angles are PERFECT. Some pre cutting is preferred, so we can jump right in and get started with creating our blocks.

Machine Quilting for Beginners

Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Cost:  $35.00

This is a method class to teach you how to do the quilting on your home machine.  You need a reliable machine with a walking foot and a darning foot that are made for it (the generic ones tend not to work very well).  We do a LOT of talking about the “how’s” and then play with a practice piece that is included in the class price.  This is definitely a ‘must’ class.  You’ll definitely get some tips that will make your job easier, making the cost of the class worthwhile.
