We’re the only store in the area that still teaches the basics by hand, and trust me; this class will make you a much better machine quilter.  Emphasizing accuracy and a well rounded basic knowledge of all aspects of the craft, we make a four block sampler from start to finish, including a hand quilting class.

Please note this is a 6 week course!

Just in time for Halloween, this fun quilt with witches on it throws precision out the window.  A casual approach to the quilt makes the piecing kind of crooked in a ‘no stress’ kind of way.  What could be more fun than witches on broomsticks with legs that actually dangle off the quilt?

If you enjoy making stack and whack quilts, well, this is even better!  Use just one fabric, just one shape, and easy sewing to create the artistic quilt of your dreams.  The fabric does the work for you.  Once all the blocks are made, then you design the quilt.  Since this is a fluid design, there is no pre determined size of the finish quilt.  Come and join the fun.

The book, One Block Wonders is required for the class.

This beautiful raw edge appliqué project can be completed as a wall hanging or table runner.  Using fusible web, it gets quilted while you are stitching down the edges of the appliqué pieces.  With Christine’s help, you will create an autumn masterpiece.  The pattern is by the popular company Laundry Basket Quilts.

Christine made this fun pillowcase in the same color palette as the Raise the Roof quilt so that it could be a bedding ensemble and it looks really nice!  Easy piecing makes a very effective and attractive pillowcase.

This is a method class to teach you how to do the quilting on your home machine.  You need a reliable machine
with a walking foot and a darning foot that are made for it (the generic ones tend not to work very well).  We do a LOT of talking about the “how’s” and then play with a practice piece that is included in the class price.  This is definitely a ‘must’ class.  You’ll definitely get some tips that will make your job easier, making the cost of the class worthwhile.
