We continue to receive an abundance of fabric, notions and tools in the store.  Diane Knott’s “Caffeine Cafe” line (along with a free apron pattern) features a clever coffee theme, and is “covered in cute.”  Jo Morton’s “Stafford County” in addition to a great new selection of blacks, black/ whites and black/reds are also here.
A new line of fabric holders by Ackfeld Manufacturing has recently arrived. These hand crafted wire hangers would add a lovely country look to any room your quilts and crafts will be displayed in.

Quilters Gallery

This month, the Sew What? Quilter’s Gallery presents quilter Jan Perc. Bright colors, geometric shapes, and thinking “outside the box” are just a few ways to describe Ms. Perc’s quilting. During each month, this gives each quilter an opportunity for family, friends, and the quilting community to view their vast array of styles, colors and techniques. We happily welcome all quilters, novice and advanced alike to show their work. To entice you even more, during your exhibition month, you will receive a 20% discount in the store AND a CD of your quilt show.  We’d love to hear from you, give us a call at 632-8801.

Tidbits…

If a project is not “cooperating,” or you want to brush up on a few techniques, give us a call. We offer Individual and/or group lessons at Sew What? One or two in a lesson -$15/hour; three or more in lesson – $10.00 per quilter.

Needles play an important role in every quilter’s life. Using the right one for your quilting job is vital. Here are some suggestions:

  • Universal Needles- slightly rounded – is perfect for sewing many different fabrics and knits.
  • Quilting Needles – slim, accurate with a tapered tip just right for tightly woven fabrics.
  • Sharp Needles – sharp point for perfectly straight stitches.
  • Ball Point – great for sewing course knitwear.
